Three writers/filmmakers - old friends, based in Cardiff who produce Web Series, Film, Blogs, Podcasts and Live Events.

RHYS JONES

Director / Producer / Editor

Rhys works full time in Television Post Production in Cardiff, worked on numerous productions for various broadcasters. Working across a varied genre of programmes. Currently he is a Online Editor at Gorilla TV. Outside the day job he is pushing forward with various creative roles in productions - He Directed the BBC Short film, Rory Romantic, one of the It's My Shout: Short Films from Wales, which went on to Win Best Short Sci-Fi Film at the NYC Film Festival. He is also a founding member of Watchers Productions who produced the web series' Whovians and Strange Tales.

TERRANCE MARSHMAN-EDWARDS

Producer /Writer

Terrance holds an MA in Creative Writing from Trinity College, Carmarthen and has had poetry published in Algebra Of Owls, Ink Sweat And Tears, Haiku Journal, and Roundyhouse Magazine. He has performed his own poetry throughout South Wales and further afield for over ten years, performing at the Sherman Theatre in 2004, the Wales Millennium Centre in 2009 and at the HowTheLightGetsIn festival at Hay-on-Wye in 2011. He is also an actor, recently performing in several plays for Monstrous Productions Theatre Company and Dramatic Moose Productions.

MATTHEW FORD

Producer / Writer

​Matthew is a gifted screenwriter with a talent for writing snappy, engaging scripts.
Matthew co-founded Watchers Productions, a non-profit production team, which creates
web content and short films, writing episodes for comedy drama series Whovians (nominated for
Best Web Series in 2017’s UK Online Festival). Between 2017 to 2019, Matthew wrote a number of
sketches with Watchers Productions for the comedy series Sketchy AF, including “Foul-mouthed
agony aunt” (an agony aunt on a ‘This Morning’ style show with no regard for TV etiquette) and
“Radio Diva” (a singer for local radio ads thinks he is Wales’s answer to Mariah Carey). Matthew’s
science fiction short Brand-New Beginnings (co-produced by Dramatic Moose Productions and
Watchers Productions) was shortlisted for 2020’s BAFTA Cymru-affiliated Carmarthen Bay Film
Festival, Lift-Off Global Network First-Time Filmmaker Sessions, and 2021’s Swansea Fringe Festival.
In 2022, Matthew’s comedy short, Heaven’s Overrated, was selected for the It’s My Shout scheme,
with the film broadcast on BBC Two Wales and available to download on BBC iPlayer:
Matthew’s unproduced scripts have won and been nominated for awards. Ghost story All Alone, Not
by Myself won Best Horror Screenplay (Short) in 2019’s Grim North Screenplay Festival. Comedy
horror Killing the Music was nominated for the same award the following year, as well as being a
finalist in 13horror.com’s short screenplay competition. Matthew’s comedy short Would-Be Hero
was nominated for Best Unproduced Screenplay in 2020’s Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards.
